As a subsidiary of SEI, ProTech Consulting provides an array of counseling services from initial Assessments, Evaluations, and Individual, or Group sessions. Dr. Stinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, Certified Addiction Counselor II, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. We offer tailor-made Telemental sessions to reduce the stress and stigma of traveling to counseling; we also can help you design your career path within the score of substance use disorder certification.
Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Commitment (MAC)
Mindfulness, Acceptance, and Commitment (MAC) is a holistic therapeutic approach used to translate your values into realistic goals and your struggles into renewed opportunities. MAC encourages you to challenge and re-evaluate your thoughts, emotions, memories, bodily sensations, and relationships with people.
MAC in Action
Dr. Stinson uses MAC principles to detect your anxiety, recognize your avoidance strategies, and attack your reasoning. He will help you "turn up" your willingness knob and to challenge your "And vs. But" statements.

FAQs
Does counseling help?
Answer: The research shows that people who get counseling fair better than those who do not receive any counseling.
Is counseling expensive?
Answer: Well it depend on the therapist and the number of sessions you may need to start the healing process. Once you have completed intake and 6-8 sessions, it can cost between $500 -$800. Insurance is a big help.
I am on medication, will I have to come off my medicine to get counseling?
Answer: No, the research shows that medication and therapy is one of the most successful methods toward healing. Consultation with your doctor and a therapist will help you make the best decision.

Addiction Training Courses
ProTech Consulting is an approved Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) Continuing Education (CE) provider. We offer 80 evenings and day courses that meet the criteria for counselor in training (CIT), certified addiction counselor (CAC I, or CAC II) certification or re-certification.
ProTech staff will help you navigate the required steps to becoming an CIT, CAC I, or CAC II. Once you have passed your certification test, we will assist you in finding gainful employment.
We strongly encourage you to visit and read material at www.gaca.org or www.adacbga.org regarding certification and re-certification.

CONTINUING EDUCATION POLICIES
ADMISSION POLICY
Registration is first come (paid), first-enrolled basis. Classes can consist of 1-10 participants. We strive to hold every class as scheduled and require paid registration two (2) days prior to class start date. You will not be guaranteed a place in a course until the registration fee is paid in full. This policy helps eliminate last-minute course cancellations. ProTech Consulting reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment or for other administrative reasons. Refunds will be promptly made due to lack of enrollment.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No Refunds will be granted to participants who cancel 24-hours before the course begin. Cancelling a course in less than 48-hour notice will result in a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be granted after a class start date/time. Refunds are issued by ProTech Consulting, LLC and may take up to one week to process.
Notification of withdrawal and a request for refund should be email to PTC Continuing Education Department at stingf3@charter.net or writing to 206 E. Gaines Street, Dublin, GA 3102.
